Post-Graduation Dr Ang pursued a clinical fellowship in paediatric otolaryngology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York City. During her fellowship, she participated in several complex paediatric airway surgeries and conducted extensive laboratory research on the physiologic boundaries of the paediatric airway (on a rabbit model). She received the Silver Award for her innovative research into an endoscopic balloon dilatation approach for subglottic stenosis at the Society for ENT Advances in Children (SENTAC) Annual Meeting.
Upon her return to Singapore, Dr Ang was one of the first otolaryngologists to use propranolol in the treatment of subglottic hemangiomas successfully. Professionally, Dr Ang has served on several committees involved in resident training, and she has served as the Associate Program Director for the Singhealth Otolaryngology Residency Program from 2010 to 2017.
